Nurse Coaching Is Not What I Do: It Informs Who I Am

2015_August_Beginnings_WEB_Article-ThumbnailWOW faculty Linda Bark and Shirley Conrad were recently published in the American Holistic Nurses Association’s Beginnings magazine. The August 2015 issue of the magazine was dedicated to the theme of Nurse Coaching and highlighted a wide variety of thoughts and ideas from leaders in Nurse Coaching. Linda and Shirley’s article, “Nurse Coaching is Not What I Do: It Informs Who I Am,” looked at how coach training can be a transformational experience for the student coach. They pose the question: “What happens in nurse coach training that impacts so much of the student’s inner and outer worlds?” The article explores this paradigm shift that many students experience after integrating the principles of coaching into their practice and daily lives.
